The Froglog® critter saving escape ramp developed by professional wildlife biologist Rich Mason helps swimming pool owners conserve native wildlife while keeping pool water clean and reducing maintenance.
In 2017, after being in business for over a decade, Osprey LLC, the company Rich founded brought the Froglog® to market and rapidly began to see online counterfeiters appear in the hundreds. Negative feedback surrounding these counterfeit products began impacting the reputation and sales of the genuine Froglog® critter saving escape ramp, forcing Rich to issue a warning on his website. Despite his efforts to take down the counterfeit products, the number of counterfeit products only grew.
Rich’s company quickly and efficiently formed a partnership with Ference Law, resulting in the counterfeits being taken down from the Amazon.com, eBay.com, AliExpress.com, and Wish.com online marketplaces. A $64 million dollar judgment was also entered against the online sellers, who were using the Froglog® registered trademark along with branded content, images, and trade dress to sell counterfeit or knock-off versions of the product.
As a result of its partnership with Ference Law, Rich’s company has seen a dramatic reduction in online counterfeiters and is able to focus on creating its environmentally safe and effective product.
